Mountain house "Jezernica"

Mountain house "Jezernica" is on the way from Fojnica to Prokosko lake , located 12 km from town center Fojnica , and about 10 km away from Prokosko lake. This especially comfortable mountain house is accommodated to the wishes and needs of guests of all generations. Its located at 1131 m above mean sea level , which tells enough about the variety of the natural surroundings.

Many true nature and mountain friends will experience some of their unforgettable moments. In the wonderfully aranged resturant with the capacity of 40 seats , the guests are offered traditional dishes and beverages and specialities characteristic in this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Mountain house "Jezernica" has 37 beds and modern bathrooms.

With the arrival in Fojnica it is necessary to take the road to Prokosko lake , a popular touristic destination in this part of central Bosnia. At half way to Prokosko
lake , in the region called Prokos is the mountain house "Jezernica" which gives an unforgettable expirience with beautiful untouched natural surroundings.

The water rich environment  , springs near "Jezernica" which literally leaves you brethless with it's sounds of untouched nature and fresh air. All this make waking up and going to bed as comfortable as possible.

The richness of "Jezernica" are the water resources around it. Natural springs , water in it's most beautiful surroundigns and many waterfalls make this area an amazing place to visit.
 
The nature is fenomenal , especialy all the streams , rivers and waterfalls. Interesting is that one of the springs is located right next to "Jezernica" which later makes a big part of the river Jezernica and then the river Fojnica which flows towards Kiseljak  and then Visoko where it flows in to the river Bosna.

In the mountain house "Jezernica" next to exceptional cleanliness and comfort , special care is taken about picking and serving food characteristic for this area.
Here you will find true gourmets paradise and plenty of tempting sorts of food which leave nobody cold hearted. From homemade cheese , cream , milk , bread to popular traditional Bosnian dishes (cooked meat and vegetables , soup and pottage) including porridge and also the favourite trout fish , grown in natural environment from the surrounding rivers and streams. Next to all this there are also fresh pies made out of only local ingredients.

You can't miss other dishes like roasted veal and lamb prepared on the spit-roast or other barbecue dishes.
